Rob is currently attending the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is pursuing a bachelors in neuroscience with a pre-med focus. Currently, he is taking a semester off from water polo to focus on school but he plans on joining UIC’s water polo team in the spring of 2017. His favorite memory from Harper water polo was the boys vs. girls game.
Kim is at the University of Kentucky studying Management and Marketing. She is very involved in many organizations including Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Club, Student Activities Board Campus Life Chair, Cru, and she is starting a transfer club called UKATS. She also just got an internship at Cintas. Kim was the very first president of the Harper College Water Polo club. Her favorite memory was the pool party and the turkey bowl. The pool party was a huge success and it brought the two largest clubs together on campus. The Turkey Bowl was a fun time for friends and families to come and play or watch people from different schools and ages play.
Adam is currently attending Northern Illinois University. He is working on his bachelors degree in probability and statistics. He misses Harper’s team and is very busy at NIU so he hasn’t been able to play water polo there. His favorite memory was the unity that he felt from being a part of the team. Adam says that it was awesome to make new friends and to help start the program at Harper.
Callie is a senior at Northern Illinois University. She is studying accountancy and she will graduate in May with an undergraduate degree. Callie is on the coe-ed water polo team at NIU. She says that it is one of her favorite parts of school and is hoping that anyone looking to transfer will come out for the team. Callie is still making memories with the water polo team at Harper. She loves being able to see friends and teammates through tournaments and summer polo!
Mike is currently in San Angelo, Texas with the Marine Corps. He is training to be a Signals Operator in the Intelligence field. Unfortunately, there isn’t any water polo where he is but he recently started playing rugby with one of the universities in town. Mike’s favorite memory was when the team put together a going away party for himself and another member. The whole team went out to eat and it was a great time to remember. Mike says that the team had so much fun in and out of the pool.
Connor is currently studying mechanical engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. At UIUC, he is on the Illini Men’s Water Club team. He also enjoys playing recreational sports such as ultimate frisbee and basketball in his free time. His favorite memory while on the Harper water polo team was going to the tournaments and being able to get to know his teammates better.
Jill is currently at Mckendree University. Jill is playing water polo there and it is actually the first ever division 2 water polo team for the university. They have a brand new olympic pool in the making and are ready to take on some division 1 teams as well. Her favorite memory from Harper water polo is coach Bauer. He is a wonderful coach, mentor, and friend. Lastly, Jill says that the teammates and life long friends that she has made are a blessing that came from Harper polo.
Yanni is currently at the defense language institute right now and he is training on the combat related intelligence team. He actually led the swim related workouts for his team. Yanni says that his favorite memory was the 2015 Holiday party and hanging out with the rest of his team.
